  • Graduated with honors Southern College of Optometry, Memphis TN – Doctor of Optometry 1998.

  • Board certified by National Board of Examiners in Optometry in the treatment and management of ocular disease.

  • Class president and class representative Omega Delta professional fraternity.

  • Gold Key Academic Honor Society.

  • Team leader and volunteer multiple mission trips to Costa Rica volunteering with Student Volunteers in Optometric Service to Humanity in cooperation with Lion’s Clubs International providing free eyecare and eyeglasses to families in need.

  • Over 10 years volunteering during Binational Health Week at the Mexican Consulate in Atlanta, GA.

  • Gift of Sight program volunteer in Lakota Sioux territories of North Dakota.

  • Georgia Optometric Association – 10 year member.

  • In practice over 20 years.

  • CPR certified.

  • Founder and owner Optica Familiar in Plaza Fiesta for over 14 years.

  • Married with two daughters.

  • Enjoys skiing, fishing and watching scary movies with a Boston terrier named Captain.
